Many people have excess fuzz on their faces and/or bodies that they want remove. Today, there are many methods of hair removal available. Some of the most common methods include: shaving, waxing, plucking, creams and electrolysis.
Shaving is usually the first choice for most people. Shaving is easy-to-do and inexpensive. When a person shaves, he or she only removes hairs from the surface so the hairs usually grow back within a few days. Many people have to shave everyday to keep their skin smooth. Over time, this can become very tedious, which is why many people end up switching to alternative forms of hair removal.
Waxing is one of the most popular forms of hair removal. This practice involves applying hot wax to the skin and then removing the hairs with wax paper. One of the main benefits of this method is that the results can last anywhere from six to eight weeks. This method is also painful and it can be expensive, which is why many people often go back to shaving after trying it a few times. Plucking is a form of hair removal that is popular among women. Most people use this method to remove the little peach fuzz on the chin, neck, upper lip and eyebrows. A benefit of this method is that it can be done right in a person’s own home and it is inexpensive. This method is also very tedious and painful, which is why most people only use it to remove stray hairs.
There are many hair removal creams that can brought from the store. These creams are very simple to use. All a person has to do is apply the cream to the skin and wait a few minutes for the hair to loosen up. After a few minutes, a person takes a wet rag and wipes his or her skin. A benefit of this method is that the results can last several weeks. This method can also be very method. Cream can also be irritating, which is one of the reasons that it is not an ideal choice for those who have sensitive skin.
Shaving, waxing, plucking and using creams are all temporary ways of removing unwanted hair. Many people today are looking for something permanent. Electrolysis is one of the ways that a person can get permanent results.
Electrolysis is a method that works by destroying the papilla. The papilla is also known as the hair root. If the hair root is destroyed, the hair can no longer grow. A benefit of electrolysis is that once a person completes treatment, the results are permanent. Electrolysis is also very expensive, costing anywhere from $25 to $100 for one hour of treatment. It is important to note that most people will need to have anywhere from 100 to 400 hours of treatment before they get the full results. Electrolysis is also time-consuming taking anywhere from one to four years to complete, but the results are forever. That is what makes the whole ordeal worth while.
